Review: 15Malaysia

15Malaysia is a short film project. It consists of 15 short films made by 15 Malaysian filmmakers. These films not only deal with socio-political issues in Malaysia, they also feature some of the best-known faces in the country, including actors, musicians and top political leaders. Arwah Yasmin Ahmad also contributing one of these 15 short films called Chocolate.

Tuan Guru Nik Aziz, Khairy Jamaluddin, Tian Chua, Jason Lo, Dato Liow Tiong Lai, Zaid Ibrahim, Adibah Noor, Sharifah Amani, and Amber Chia are among main actors in these films. Namewee, the controversial Negarakuku rap singer, also made an appearance as a lead actor.

Khairy Jamaluddin also known as KJ as Malaysians called him, made a tremendous performance for being a cab driver which saw him get a lot of kudos from everyone who watch Meter. He has a talent though.

One of my favourite film is Potong Saga. It is a laugh out loud film. The main actor, Namewee was caught in misintepret the Islamic law when he wants to open an Islamic bank account.

Harith Iskandar starred in Slovak Sling where a polotician tries to entice his opposition to switch party as an illegal DVD seller looks on to gain some useful knowledge.

I must say that after watching this, all of the subjects were true and it does make sense. It's really happening in our country, if you notice it or not. When we are living in a Draconian country and 'silent' is the code of law, this is one of our way to express our feelings and what we thought of Malaysia.

15Malaysia is a recipe of Malaysia, which consist of every aspects, from the negative stand point and also the positive side of Malaysia. These 15s will be binded together and to be named as Malaysia.

It is good for the people of the world to know more about Malaysia.
